• Historian.

Tuskegee. Fisk. University of Chicago. Princeton. The University of Kentucky. And the Library of Congress. I’ve spent time in each of these archives conducting research unearthing the treasure that is Black History.

  • Educator.

Blacks in the 20th Century. Africa History. Kentucky History. Western Civilization. And of course, United States History. I’ve taught these subjects and more at both Kentucky State University and the University of Kentucky.

  • Journalist.

Listening. Thinking. Writing. And sharing the stories of the oft unheard. Here lies my passion. I’ve worked at newspapers in New York, and Kentucky. I’ve also written for various magazines such as People and Newsweek.
